Welcome back!  Is that you?  Glad you are back for week two. Hopefully you got some good rest.  Once again thank you for a great first week.  Great things do not happen without us working together.

The time is now to start your march toward reaching your goals.  Every opportunity you have with your students is an opportunity to prepare them for success.  Remember you are a huge part of their success or failure.

I challenge each of you this week to share an instructional strategy that works well in the classroom with a colleague.  Many of you do amazing things in the classroom and this week is a good time to share it.  I like accountable talk.  Students should talk to their peers about what they are learning in your class.  Here is a great article about accountable talk. http://www.classroomnook.com/2016/12/teaching-accountable-talk.html It may be sort of elementary but it works well for high school students as well.  Try it out and let me know how it works as you try to bring all your students to mastery.
