Hopefully each of you got some time to rest and relax over spring break.  I certainly had the opportunity to get a small break.  We are all back and it’s time to get to work.  Spend a few minutes reconnecting with your students and go ahead and jump back into the business at hand which is learning.

If you are in a STAAR tested area it is important that you know what your students need to be successful on their assessment.  Your common assessment data as well as formative assessments you’ve given in class will provide you with what you need to zero in on the standards they need to be successful.  We cannot waste any time ensuring they have what they need to hit at least the meets standard.

This time of year can cause our anxiety level to go higher.  Remember if we have done all we can to help our students, then we have done our part.  While we are here we should all work hard.  When we leave we enjoy friends and family.  Our students are super important to us, just as our lives outside of school.  Balance is important to make it to the finish line.  When we get to the finish line we want to finish first.  Don’t forget to have fun.
