Week 2!

Hey folks!  We just finished the first week of school at Naaman Forest high School.  Let’s celebrate that!  It was fast and furious but it went great.

Let’s keep the momentum going from week one as we take on week two.  I know many of you are getting to the true meat of your lessons.  Remember, the better you plan the closer your students will get to mastery.  That’s the reason we teach, so that our students can master the standards they are expected to know.  A failure to plan effectively short changes our students’ success rates in your class.

I encourage as many of you to check out our Rangers as they compete in their various extracurricular activities.  The students love to see you at the things that they enjoy doing the most.  The easiest way to build a connection is to show up to an activity that your students are participating in.  I promise you, they’ll never forget.  You can find all the activity information on Nicholette’s weekly email.  Go Rangers!

Remember that we have Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, September 11th from 5:30-7:00 pm.  This is an all staff event.  Our parents are excited to meet you.  That will be a professional dress night.  Look nice!

This is a short week, but let’s make the best of it.  Engage your students and they’ll respond in ways you never imagined.  We are Naaman, the best high school in Garland ISD.  Together in excellence we can even be the best school in the state of Texas.

Let’s welcome our new accounting clerk to Naaman, Mrs. Teena Hancock.  Stop by if you have time and say hello.

Have a great week!
