When we started the year we talked a lot about improving the Tier 1 environment in the classroom.  Research has proven that nothing beats good classroom instruction.  It is more powerful than any intervention or tutorial system.  We are often called to do intervention because our regular classroom instruction is not where it needs to be.  I appreciate those that have worked hard to have the best classroom instruction possible.  We will be gearing up for various STAAR exams as well as AP exams this semester.  We teach so students can learn.  We want them to learn at a high level so that they are proficient on their STAAR and AP exams.  Keep having great instruction so that they can do great on any state or national exam they have to complete.

Roger Davis-Jahnel was recognized last night 02/24 at the 11th annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet sponsored by the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame and the Gridiron Club of Dallas Chapter.  This banquet recognized football players who are also scholar athletes.  If you see Roger tell him congratulations.

Our girls soccer team will play Allen in the playoffs this Thursday at Allen Stadium at 6:00 pm.  Come out and cheer the Rangers on to victory.
