Friday was great at The Forest. I loved the amount of spirit shown at the pep rally, and it’s always fun to see our students fired up at events at school. The more they show their Ranger spirit, the easier it is for us to have school.
Please take a moment today and tomorrow to encourage your students to attend the GISD College Night at the CCC. The event is from 6-8 pm. Don’t forget to rep your favorite college/university with jeans tomorrow (09/19).
A big shout out to the Ranger football team. They pretty much took it to Grand Prairie!!!
Quick story below. Lol!
I traveled to the big city of Hearne over the weekend and had the opportunity to catch up with my 93 year old grandmother (who still lives alone). I was concerned that I wouldn’t get to see her because my dad told me that she would be leaving early Saturday to head to Dallas to catch an early morning flight to Vegas. Yes, Vegas! It all worked out because she was sitting on the porch when I passed by. So I turned my truck around and stopped. I pulled up, jumped out the truck and got out. She was, of course, excited to see me. I asked “What are you doing sitting out here?” She responded “Waiting on my ride, I guess they are running late.” Well, if you know my grandmother she believes in two things: Being on time, and living your best life. At 93 she is currently on a 5 day trip with some “young friends” as she says, to Las Vegas. She gets up and walks every morning at 4:30 am, is a youth leader at our home church, and takes other senior citizens to the local doctor in her 1984 Lincoln Town Car.
Sitting and chatting with her reminded me that we all must live our best life as long as we can. And as teachers we must give our all to our students every single day. I know it gets tough some days, and we all get super tired but the future of this community, our state, and the world depends on us to invest in their future. Thank you for making the future bright!
We will have a faculty meeting at2:52 pm in the auditorium this Wednesday. Let’s get in on time and get out on time!
Take a moment to look over all the weekly activities from Nicholette’s list. Join in on the fun and get involved.
Go Rangers!

My mom is 80 and still travels to Vegas every summer by herself! We try to put a GPS on her, but she’s still too quick for that trick. We hope our mom will still be traveling to her favorite place at 93.
Love it!
