I had a long message ready to send to you.  I know you’ve had to read several emails over the last few days with very much needed instructions.  So I’ll keep this short.

Today is game time!  I encourage you to do the things that matter the most when you first meet your students.  As I told you last week they want to know you and they want to know what you expect.  Let them know your heart and they’ll give you theirs.  Building a meaningful relationship with your students is one of the most important things you can do with your students.  It will sustain you during the more difficult times.  Capture them right from the beginning!

We’ve talked a lot about goals.  It is important that you know your academic goals as well as your own personal growth goals.  Set your target and create the right plan to make it happen!

Our students will show up tomorrow excited, nervous, happy, and possibly sad that summer is over for them.  Be the best thing that has happened to some of them in a long time.  If you need help today and rest of the week just ask.  See you around!
