Let’s all push super hard to Spring Break. As breaks approach students typically get excited and want to push the envelope. Collectively we can push back on this by having engaged classrooms, being at our doors between passing periods, and limiting their movement throughout the building. They should be learning so much they shouldn’t even think about leaving your classroom.
A big shout out to Mrs. Dry and our DECA team. We had 19 students qualify for state and it was great seeing them represent Naaman. We also had 2 students qualify for nationals in Atlanta. Those two students are Roger Janel-Davis and Oscar Ortiz. If you have these students please give them a huge shout out.
Another shout out to James Reed, Hayden Bayless, Stephen Goins, and Aaron Chappa for winning their division at the Skills USA competition. Their photo is below.
More shout outs go to our Naaman Student Council group. They earned the Sweepstakes Award. The Sweepstakes award is given to Student Council groups who complete projects, events, and activities in the following categories:
- Pride and Patriotism
- Energy and Environment
- Drugs, Alcohol, Safety, and Health
- Community Service
- Outstanding Council
Go StuCO!
Our soccer teams continue to do a great job they both were victorious against North Garland on Friday. The boys team is currently in 1st place in district play.
It was great to watch our girls and boys basketball team represent us in the playoffs. Both teams had a great season and we are looking forward to next year.
We have many other sports that are underway. The spring semester is a busy time. Keeping our students involved keeps them focused.
Do not forget to have fun!
We are Naaman!
