Keep Going Strong!

Thank you for your patience and flexibility last week with STAAR testing.  We’ll have another round in May and have identified things that we need to do to improve.  Because of each of you both days were virtually without incident.  I mentioned to you at the faculty meeting that it is important that we start strong this week.  Our students can never get the impression that since a test is over it is time for free time.  Learning must continue!  Another thing we have to remember is that there are tons of activities taking place and our students have to know that participating in activities is a privilege.  I will speak to them directly about this.

Shout out to the Ranger Softball team.  They destroyed another team!  They are playing great softball.  Way to defeat South!

Shout out to the girls and boys track teams.  We have several athletes headed to the Area meet.  Go Rangers!

Shout out to Mrs. Boyd for being nominated as the Naaman Forest General Educator of the Year.  She will represent Naaman as they work to name the finalist.

Shout out to the Naaman Forest Jazz band they won 1st place at the Bill Watrous Jazz Festival at Sam Houston State University.  This is the second year in a row they have won this competition.  Tim Staats won most outstanding soloist of the day and Jamie O’Brien won the $1,000 Bill Watrous Scholarship for outstanding musicians.

We Are Naaman!
