It’s a new week in the Forest and I’m super excited about it.  Aren’t you?  I know our students are! Let’s do all we can to make this week amazing.

We start a new grading cycle today and it is a great time to reconnect with your students.  I know all of you work hard to have great relationships, but use this grading reset as a time to restate your expectations for them.  I’ll do the same with the students.

Quick question: Are you having fun?  I was thinking the other day that everyone deserves to do something they love.  Think about it…We spend most of our waking hours in The Forest and quite frankly it should be fun.  Of course, we have our tough days but teaching should be fun.  Beyond what we do in the classroom there are many things that happen here that you can be a part of.  There’s certainly enough fun to go around.  And when you are involved with our students these are things that they remember most.  Remember we are all working to be Legends!

As we work to make Naaman Forest the best high school in Garland ISD and the state remember the things that will help us get there.  Our students must be connected, our lessons have to be engaging and relevant, we have to get 100% of them across the finish line, and we have to be great on purpose.
