Welcome to a new week at The Forest!  I didn’t realize that we were so close to Spring Break…ha ha…Well, let’s focus on what’s important.  What is important is having the best Tier I learning environment for our students.  As we all know, our focus areas are engagement and formative assessment.  It is super important that you are being intentional in your planning and that is focuses on engaging your learners.  We are getting closer to testing season and we are all aware of our goals that we must reach in our particular areas.  It may be a STAAR goal, an AP goal, or a goal that leads to more certifications for our students.  Whatever it is we are all in it together. 

Next week we have SAT school day testing as well as mock Algebra I testing.  We have to begin the process of encouraging and pumping our students up for these tests.  I know it sounds repetitive sometimes, but just like us they have to be reminded and encouraged when it gets tough.  They do not like taking tests, just like we don’t.  Testing is here to stay, so we have to make the most of it.
