A New Week!

I was telling someone the other day that it feels like the days are running together.  Lol!  The great thing about our school is that there is always something great going on that impacts our students.  Thank you for your service to our students.

This week will be equally as busy.  We kick off our week with a playoff volleyball game in Frisco.  Our Ranger Ladies Vball team will face Coppell in bi-district action at 6:30 pm at Frisco Lebanon Trail HS.  Let’s go Rangers!  We also have our second round of parent conferences Monday night.  We had many parents/guardians in the building last week and I appreciate all of you for taking the time to have these much needed conferences.

Starting today (10/30) you may see several members of the leadership team, including district administration in your classroom.  These are simply instructional walk-throughs.  I know that you always have great lessons planned.  This shouldn’t be any different from the great lessons you already do.  We are always great on purpose!

Shout out to the Mighty Ranger Band on a great marching season.  They broke records and took names.  Take time out to tell your students who are in the band great job for representing Naaman in such an incredible way.  For more important events please see Nicholette’s email.

Please remember the High School Expo is this Wednesday at the Curtis Culwell Center.  We need representatives from every sport, fine art, club, booster, organization, AP, DC, GBL, and any other activity.  As we all know, we are a school of choice.  There are many great things going on at Naaman and the larger community has to know about it.  We also need AP teachers to attend.  Please RSVP to Rhonda before the end of the day.   Thank you for spreading the word about the great things happening at Naaman.

Shout out to the football team for another big win.  Keep fighting Rangers!

Please do not forget that we will not dress-up for Halloween.  All Halloween dress-up related events should take place after hours.  I will announce one final time to our students today.

This week will conclude the end of another grading period.  I will appeal to the students via the public address system all week to take care of their business in your classes.  I am sure that many of them still have items that they need to finish up before the close of the grading cycle.  I encourage you to keep working hard to bring them to mastery.  Sometimes we have to be creative in order to determine if the students are mastering the standards we are expecting them to master.  And I fundamentally believe every student should have the opportunity to master the standards.  How we get them to mastery is solely up to the classroom teacher.  The great thing is I know each of you are working super hard to achieve this.

Have a great week!

We Are Naaman!
